Christopher Pelletier Paves Way for Sandy Relief

2013 Mar 18

Hurricane Sandy's devastation in New York has led Christopher Pelletier, a SUNY Delhi Construction Management major from Petersburg, NY to volunteer his talents and aid residents of the Breezy Point and Far Rockaway areas.

Pelletier joined other Delhi students majoring in carpentry, electrical, architecture and construction technology and management to provide skilled assistance for the recovery efforts during the college spring break, March 2-9. Pelletier was thrilled to help others while putting into practice what he has learned while studying Construction Management at SUNY Delhi.

SUNY Delhi's building technologies students gain experience in a range of real world projects. These projects place an emphasis on the skills and techniques essential in the workforce. Students complete regular assignments on job sites and serve in internships across the country.

SUNY Delhi is a member of the State University of New York, the largest comprehensive university system in the U.S. Delhi's seamless approach to education includes over 60 academic programs, leading to one-year certificates, associate's degrees and bachelor's degrees in select program areas at Delhi.
