SUNY Delhi student Wyatt Dates of Wolcott, NY, was awarded a Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation Scholarship. Dates is pursuing an associate's degree in Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.

The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation was established to assist with the recruitment and competency of future HVACR and water heating technicians by awarding scholarships to qualified students enrolled in an institutionally accredited school. Eligible students must be preparing for a career in either residential or light commercial air conditioning, heating, or water heating, or commercial refrigeration.

SUNY Delhi offers a comprehensive A.A.S degree curriculum in HVAC. The program contains a strong, representative technical component in addition to liberal arts, mathematics and science studies. Graduates in this field are presented with the ability to work for contractors or own their businesses in a variety of facets, from temperature and air quality control to transporting food and medicine.
