SUNY Delhi's Krista McCabe Participates in ASC Design-Build Competition

Krista McCabe of Fort Covington, NY competed in the 2013 Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Competition and placed third in the design-build category. McCabe is pursuing an associate's degree in Architectural Technology at SUNY Delhi.

The ASC Design-Build Competition requires companies to offer an actual construction project to students so that they may estimate, schedule and prepare value-engineering studies for the project. Students are also asked to develop safety, quality and cost control procedures and answer technical questions related to the project. An oral report of their findings is made to a team of jurors from the sponsoring company who determine the winner. Companies such as Kiewit have previously sponsored the ASC Design-Build Competition.
