He helped initiate and coordinate fund-raising for the Morales Family Scholarship Endowment as part of the college’s Centennial Campaign. In 1994, Leahy was a volunteer spokesman for a fund-raising effort that led to construction of the Back 9 at the college golf course. In 2001, Leahy was honored as the Alumni Association’s Alumnus of Merit. That same year he was also named to the State University of New York’s Alumni Honor Roll.
