SUNY Delhi's School of Nursing Nationally Recognized as Center of Excellence
The prestigious honor is awarded to institutions that consistently demonstrate excellence in nursing education
Delhi, NY (08/08/2019) — SUNY Delhi's School of Nursing has earned the designation of 2019 Center of Excellence for Enhancing Student Learning and Professional Development by the National League for Nursing (NLN). The prestigious recognition is awarded to institutions that consistently demonstrate excellence in nursing education.
"Centers of Excellence help raise the bar for all nursing programs by role modeling visionary leadership and environments of inclusive excellence. These programs will nurture the next generation of a strong and diverse nursing workforce to advance the health of the nation and the global community," said NLN CEO Beverly Malone, Ph.D., RN, FAAN.
"Receiving the designation of Center of Excellence is an honor that reflects our vision of being a frontrunner in delivering outstanding, cutting-edge nursing education for today's healthcare industry needs," said Dr. Susan Deane, Dean of the School of Nursing at SUNY Delhi. "Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our faculty and staff who collectively create and support innovative learning environments, our nursing students are exceptionally well-equipped to enjoy successful careers as healthcare providers, educators, and leaders in a global and diverse society."
With a dynamic blend of theory and hands-on lab work and practicums, SUNY Delhi's holistic approach to nursing is highly ranked among nursing programs in both state and national comparisons. Most recently, Delhi's online RN-to-BSN program was ranked third in New York and 16th in the nation by RegisteredNursing.org.
SUNY Delhi offers accredited nursing education on both undergraduate and graduate levels. The 2-year associate (AAS) and 4-year AAS/BSN dual degrees are offered on campus, while the RN-to-BSN program and master's degrees in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration are delivered online.
