Advisory: Alumni Chef and Filmmaker to Visit SUNY Delhi

Professional chef Len Mitchell and award-winning filmmaker Eric Weinrib will visit the campus and meet students this week

Delhi, NY (05/05/2025) — SUNY Delhi will host two distinguished alumni on campus this week.

Chef Len Mitchell is doing a book signing at the campus bookstore. His book, "Mise En Peace: A culinary Journey in Search of Home," is a collection of short stories depicting his culinary journey that aims to enlighten, entertain, and transform the path that new chefs embark upon. Chef Michell, who resides in Boston, MA, is a 1981 graduate of SUNY Delhi's Hospitality Management program. His career spans four decades as an executive chef, general manager, and consultant.

Time: 2-3 p.m.
Location: Barnes & Noble Bookstore (Farrell Center) at SUNY Delhi (campus map)
Parking: Behind Farrell Center or along the road

Filmmaker Eric Weinrib will speak at the Student Achievement and Research Day event at SUNY Delhi. Weinrib is a 1992 alum of SUNY Delhi's Liberal Arts & Sciences program. An Emmy-nominated and Peabody award-winning filmmaker, Weinrib's work has appeared on HBO, Showtime, Netflix, and more. He has interviewed such notable figures as Willie Nelson, Rosie O'Donnell, Roseanne Barr, Michael Moore, and Sandra Bernhard. He is based in New York City.
