Twelve top-performing SUNY Delhi students were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Eta Sigma, and Alpha Phi Sigma honor societies in a recognition ceremony on campus in April. The inductees fulfilled all requirements for membership and were selected based on their dedication to scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service.

Top-performing SUNY Delhi students were inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma honor society in a recognition ceremony on campus this April. Phi Eta Sigma is the third oldest university honor society in the US. Its mission is to award students for achieving high scholastic performance during their first year in the baccalaureate programs. SUNY Delhi students must achieve a cumulative GPA 3.50 and maintain full-time enrollment in a four-year program to be invited into the society. Addressing the inductees during the event, SUNY Delhi Provost Thomas Jordan said, "Ordinary people do ordinary things, and that is fine. However, individuals like you have decided to do a little extra and stand out. That makes you extraordinary! Congratulations to all of you." The faculty advisor for the honor society at SUNY Delhi is Associate professor Joan Erickson.

Top-performing SUNY Delhi students were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society in a recognition ceremony on campus this April. Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs. To be eligible for membership, a student must have completed at least 12 hours of associate degree coursework with a cumulative 3.5 GPA. Addressing the inductees during the event, SUNY Delhi Provost Thomas Jordan said, "Ordinary people do ordinary things, and that is fine. However, individuals like you have decided to do a little extra and stand out. That makes you extraordinary! Congratulations to all of you." The faculty advisor for the honor society at SUNY Delhi is Associate Professor Heidi Yorke. Students inducted into Phi Theta Kappa were Caleb Backus, Clinton Jacobs, Kamryn French, Ryan Hunter, Sarah Nicholson, Tammy Budine, Sanaa Clark, Tim McGuire, Sharon Curtis, Nolan Sears, Michael Caterino, Richard Burke, Cael Howland, Dominick DeBonis, and Bailey Lyons.

Forty-seven students have been inducted into SUNY Delhi's chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. The ceremony was cancelled due to COVID-19, but membership certificates were sent to the students' homes in May 2020. Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society recognizing academic achievements of full-time college students who attain a cumulative GPA 3.50 or higher during their college careers.

Over sixty students have been inducted into SUNY Delhi's Chi Tau chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. The students were recognized during a virtual induction hosted by the SUNY Delhi School of Nursing in May. Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma) is dedicated to advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service.

Six students have been inducted into Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) National Honor Society at SUNY Delhi. The students were recognized during the annual XAE induction and reception held in May 2019. Chi Alpha Epsilon recognizes the academic achievements of college students in access and scholar programs. Its purposes are to promote continued high academic standards, to foster increased communication among its members, and to honor academic excellence achieved by those students.

Twelve students have been inducted into SUNY Delhi's chapter of Tau Phi Zeta (TPZ) National Honor Society this spring. TPZ was formed in 2015 and recognizes students enrolled in Veterinary Technology programs for their academic achievement, leadership, character, and professional excellence. Membership is offered to students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above, a demonstrated commitment to caring for animals, and desirable qualities of strong character, work ethic, and professional behavior. Members also participate in service activities on campus and in the surrounding community.

Twelve students were inducted into SUNY Delhi's Epsilon Alpha chapter of Delta Alpha Pi (DAPi) International Honor Society this fall. DAPi was formed in 2004 and celebrates and supports academic achievement for post-secondary students with disabilities. Members participate in activities that develop skills in leadership and advocacy, and work to combat negative stereotypes of people with disabilities. Membership is offered to students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.1 or above, completed at least 24 credits, and identify as an individual with a disability or demonstrate an interest in disability issues. Forty-one students have been inducted into SUNY Delhi's chapter of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. The students were recognized during the college's Honor Society Banquet held on March 21, 2019. Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society recognizing academic excellence among first-year students.

SUNY Delhi inducted 15 inaugural members into the Beta Chapter of the Tau Phi Zeta National Honor Society. Delhi is only the second program in the nation to recognize academic honors by joining this prestigious organization. Sixty current students and recent graduates were invited to join the society.
