MEDIA ADVISORY: SUNY Chancellor to Join SUNY Delhi Leadership to Announce $32 Million Investment in New Mechatronics Facility

The new 15,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in 2030 and will house SUNY Delhi's associate and bachelor's programs in mechatronics design and technology.

Delhi, NY (12/01/2025) — Members of the press are invited to attend an announcement at SUNY Delhi on Thursday, December 4, where SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr. and SUNY Delhi President Mary Bonderoff will outline a major state investment to transform SUNY Delhi's North Hall into a state-of-the-art mechatronics facility.

With support from Governor Kathy Hochul, Empire State Development, and the SUNY Construction Fund, the $32 million project will expand SUNY Delhi's mechatronics and applied technology programs, strengthening critical workforce development in advanced manufacturing and high-demand technical fields in New York.
