SUNY Delhi Reacts to Governor Cuomo's 2020 State of the State Address

by Riikka Olson

Delhi, NY (01/10/2020) — "I am excited about many of the initiatives outlined in Governor Cuomo's State of the State address because they align so closely with SUNY Delhi's values and progressive approach to education. At SUNY Delhi, we proudly offer forward-thinking programs, educating the qualified workforce needed to implement many of the changes Governor Cuomo proposed. Our graduates possess the knowledge and skills to build, maintain, and update sustainable homes; to strengthen and expand the State's clean, renewable energy systems; and to play a valuable role as auto technicians working with advancing electric vehicle technology.

The expansion of opportunity programs, early college programs, and the Excelsior Scholarship have potential to positively impact our students and New York residents in making a SUNY education more accessible and affordable than ever before."

Dr. Michael Laliberte
SUNY Delhi President
