SUNY Delhi Receives $10,000 Donation from SFCU to Support Student Food Needs

The funding will be used to keep campus food pantry stocked throughout the academic year.

Delhi, NY (09/14/2026) — SUNY Delhi has received a $10,000 donation from Sidney Federal Credit Union (SFCU) to support Bronco Basics, the college's food pantry, and provide additional food resources for students who may experience periods of need. The donation is part of SFCU's Why SFCU? 1 Million Reasons community support initiative.

The donation builds on SFCU's ongoing relationship with SUNY Delhi and its commitment to supporting students and the greater Delhi community. The investment in Bronco Basics extends that partnership by providing additional support for students when they need it.

The funding will primarily be used to purchase food and keep the Bronco Basics pantry stocked throughout the academic year. It will also help provide food for students who remain on campus during fall, winter, spring, and other academic breaks, when regular campus dining options may be limited.

"We are tremendously grateful to SFCU for this generous investment in the well-being and success of our students," said SUNY Delhi President Dr. Mary Bonderoff. "Resources like Bronco Basics provide an additional layer of support when students need it, helping them stay focused on their education and make the most of their college experience."

Bronco Basics provides food and personal hygiene products at no cost to SUNY Delhi students who need them. The program offers students a convenient, welcoming resource on campus while also connecting them with additional services and support when needed.

"This generous funding from SFCU will help us keep the pantry well stocked and provide additional food options for students who remain on campus during academic breaks."

About Bronco Basics

Formerly known as Regalia, Bronco Basics was recently renamed to better represent its role as a resource for students' basic needs. Bronco Basics includes both a food pantry and a gently used clothing store. The food pantry offers non-perishable food and personal hygiene products to students at no cost. The clothing store offers donated professional and casual clothing for $1 per item, giving students affordable access to attire for job interviews, networking events, internships, presentations, and other occasions. Specialized clothing such as scrubs and chef attire may also be available. Bronco Basics accepts donations from the campus and local community.
